  • Overview of Pneumatic Injection
Dosamatic technology originates from basic and applied research performed by Mactenn at its own test and research facilities. The Dosamatic was introduced in 1979 in response to fuel injection requirements for cupolas and furnaces for the basic metals industry. Continuous developments and improvements have permitted the technology to be applied to higher back-pressure environments for a wide range of processes.

The company has a philosophy of continuous product development and a concentration of applied research effort to meet the demands of new processes.

Here's How the Dosamatic Streamlines Process Cost
      1. No need for separate weighing, transfer, and metering equipment or bulk batch hopper process points.

      2. Direct feed over distances up to 650 ft. (200 m.) by single or multiple lines with accurate amounts at controllable rates, from bulk storage into process vessels.

      3. Feed rate adjustable during transfer with up to 20:1 turndown, with up to ±2% volumetric accuracy on set feed rate with standard system. Loss-in-weight control can provide up to 1% to 2% by weight accuracy.

      4. Maximum feed rate capacities from 0.2 lbs. / minute (100 gm.) to more than 1 ton / minute (1000 kg.).

      5. Handles powders, granular and lumpy materials, and certain high moisture content substances.

      6. Can feed directly into pressurized processes in excess of 100 psi. (7 bar).

      7. Delivery into the process is smooth and unpulsed, independent of back pressure variations.

      8. On-line rate data acquisition and inventory recording is available as required.

      9. Completely sealed system from bulk storage to process eliminates waste, dust and contamination.
