With the Dosamatic, Mactenn presents a totally new concept to increase efficiency, reduce process plant 

complexity 

and

 costs. This unique monitoring and injection feed system achieves a very high degree of flow rate accuracy; smooth, unpulsed flow; repeatability; and consistent rate turndown, independent of process back pressure variations.

The Dosamatic may be located directly beneath a remote storage silo to continuously or batch dispense materials and ingredients directly to the process. Intermediate weighing and mechanical feeding, with dust-creating transfer points, drives and moving parts are completely eliminated.

Feed rate control throughout a standard turndown of up to 10:1 may be close-looped with the process requirements, or independently programmed to provide a continuous feed rate response.

The Dosamatic utilizes a unique and simple concept of materials metering into a gas stream that may be subject to back pressure variations - a concept that has been widely applied to achieve outstanding reliability and accuracy.

A wide variety of materials can be handled, including cohesive powders, granular and lump materials up to 25 mm. (1"), and certain high moisture content substances. Feed rates range from 100 gm. (0.2 lbs.) per minute to 1000 kg. (2240 lbs.) per minute and higher! Feed rate accuracies of up to 1% to 2%, depending on control mode selected.

Conveying distances of up to 200 m. (650 ft.) are possible, facilitating plant planning flexibility. The system is totally enclosed from storage to process, so that no spillage, dusting or contamination is possible, and no residual material can be left in the system. Where required, materials can be fed directly into pressurized processes in excess of 100 psi. (7 bar).

The Dosamatic operates with a high material / air ratio, using standard pipework which reduces air and other gas consumption.
